Numerous internet users mock Former President John Dramani Mahama for contributing 5,000 Ghana Cedis (GH5,000.00) to the funeral of the late Christian Atsu.

Christian Atsu, a midfielder for the Black Stars of the Ghana National Football Team, passed away.

Tragically, his building was destroyed by an earthquake on February 6 in Turkey.

For twelve days, the Footballer was entangled in the rubble. On February 18, 2023, his lifeless body was discovered, and it was transported to Ghana for burial.

In an effort to express his sympathies to Christian Atsu’s family, the former president provided GH5,000 for the funeral.

The amount, on the other hand, has sparked debate about whether or not it reflects the former president’s status.

Some even inquired if it would be appropriate for a celebration of “our day” at a primary school.
