Offset is still in a “dark place” one month after Takeoff passed away.
The Migos rapper revealed on Thursday via Twitter that he has been feeling down since the fatal shooting in Houston last month that claimed the lives of his groupmate and cousin.
Offset tweeted with the middle finger emoji, “In a dark place.”
He made his first appearance on stage since Takeoff’s death last week. He paid tribute to Takeoff and performed hits from Migos at the beginning of his performance, which took place during Art Basel in Miami.

“Let’s do this sh*t! We’re doing this for my brother, for Takeoff!” He informed the crowd.
In the wake of Takeoff’s death, Offset postponed the release of his album and previously discussed the “unbearable” loss. In one of his tributes, he wrote, “My heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words.” Later, he added, “Not a day go by man this shit still unreal to me.”
Cardi B, his wife, has also suffered as a result of the tragedy, and she has struggled to make her husband content. We’re going about our normal lives, but our hearts are so heavy inside,” she said. I’ve been feeling hopeless trying to make my husband happy, trying to get him to smile, seeing him cry out of nowhere, and trying to keep his mind off of it.
After a fight outside of a bowling alley in Houston that injured two others, Takeoff was shot and killed. In connection with the shooting that resulted in the death of a person, police made an arrest last week for Patrick Xavier Clark. The 33-year-old man is being held on $2 million bond after being charged with murder. A second man was also taken into custody and charged with felony weapon possession.
Offset has asked fans and the media to only post positive comments about his cousin as he mourns the loss. Please, don’t post Takeoff unless it’s in a positive light! he said in his Instagram Story.
