Rihanna consistently releases new music.
The pop star provides a second song for the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack after making her long-awaited comeback to music last month.
The-Dream and Ludwig Göransson created the moving song, which James Fauntleroy wrote. She says on the stirring track, “Simply tell me what I need to do / I’d die and come back just to adore you.”
“Lift Me Up,” Rihanna’s first song in over six years, is also included on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever album and is a memorial to the late Chadwick Boseman. On the Billboard Hot 100, it debuted at No. 2.
However, the wait for Rihanna’s next album might be a little longer. She recently told the AP that her impending halftime show at the Super Bowl doesn’t necessarily indicate that new music is coming soon.
Super Bowl is a separate matter. A different thing is new music. Fans, do you hear that?” she asked before hinting at a “special project.”
In addition to Rihanna, Future, Tems, and Burna Boy also make cameos in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Music From and Inspired By. In theaters today is the follow-up to Marvel’s hugely successful 2018 film.
