Charles Nii Armah Jr alias Shatta Wale has expressed undisguised contempt and disappointment at the current president Nana Akufu Addo over poor state of the economy.
Shatta Wale, self crowned the king of the streets took to Facebook to express his disappointment at the current government for failing to keep his promises of reviving the system and further drowning the economy in poverty, comparing it to the previous government which he states was a much better ruler.
In the Facebook live, Shatta Wale stated that he speaks on behalf of most Ghanaians who are just making ends meet at this point, thus having no hope of saving for the future.
“The street is hot, I am telling you something, the country is not going well,” He stated.
Though this may not be the dancehall artist’s first critique of a government in power, he stands to emphasized that this government system’s hardships has gotten out of hand.
“We were all in Ghana when people said Mahama hasn’t done anything, now Mahama is gone and you’ve come into power, they say you as for you, you are not trying. They say de3 you no dey try, common entertainment they say you no dey try, I am telling you,” Shatta Wale added.
He advised the president Nana Akufu Addo to revise his appointees since most of them are corrupt and the cause of the nation’s misery.
