The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bibiani- Anhwiaso- Bekwai in the Western North region, Mr Alfred Amoah and his personal driver met their untimely death on Tuesday evening, 12th July 2022 according to confirmed reports available to Maaka Maaka News. The MCE according to Daily Graphic was returning from an official meeting in Accra when the unfortunate happened.
The Western North Regional Minister narrating the sad even revealed that he was with the MCE few minutes ago at the meeting before his car crashed upon his return. ” He was with me this afternoon. He just left my company around 4: 00pm.
Yes, he was with me in Accra” he said whiles shedding tears. Right on the accident scene, both the MCE and his driver were pronounced dead and their remains have been deposited at hospital pending medical autopsy and police investigation. Pictures that emerged after the bloody crash is one that will make you cry. The car was crashed like a Milo tin whiles the driver and MCE laid down lifeless.
According to eyewitness, Government officials including municipal and district chief executive officers and other appointees attended a five- day retreat to discuss the national economy and to take stock of programmes. The retreat which started last Friday, discussed the various flagship programmes of the government and the reason for accessing an IMF programme, as well as reviewed the cost- cutting measures announced at the last Cabinet meeting in March this year.
Just after the meeting in Accra, the deceased Mr. Alfred Amoah decided to drive back to the Western North where he resides. Unluckily or him, he couldn’t reach home to serve the people of Bibiani as he was crashed to death. Further details will be made available after police investigations.
