Controversial man of God turned televangelist Prophet Kumchacha has questioned the reason why churches and pastors have supported the construction of the National Cathedral.
According to the popular Ghanaian preacher, it is ungodly and hypocritical for churches and pastors in the country to support the decision of the government to build a cathedral when the citizens are struggling with economic hardship and the poor state of most social amenities in the country.
” How can we spend over $200 million on building a National Cathedral when Ghanaians are hungry and living in bad conditions? ” he questioned churches and pastors in an exclusive interview with Kofi. He added ” Look at how bad the Kumasi Accra road is.
How can we build a National Cathedral when most units at Korle- Bu, 37 Military Hospital, and the Komfo Anokye Hospital need beds and medicines? ” Prophet Kumchacha continued ” How can we do that? Has God told anyone His rent is due? ” . The man of God also alleged that the pastors who are backing the construction of the Cathedral have been paid by politicians. ” All the pastors in support of the cathedral have been fed and paid to blindly support the agenda of imposing the national cathedral in Christians and Ghanaians, and if you complain against it as a pastor, they will refer to you as the antichrist”.
The famous pastor told Kofi TV that God does not need a cathedral in the country because there are many churches already in existence. Prophet Kumchacha also questioned how the National Cathedral will be built in two years.
” You can’t count the number of Churches in Ghana. So what do we need a cathedral for? And can we even build that cathedral in just two years? Let’s be truthful ” he added.
