The Danquah Institute’ s founder and previous executive director is Mr. Gabby Otchere- Darko (a political think tank based in Accra, Ghana). He is also a prominent figure inside the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP). In his most recent publication, Gabby revealed the ” bitter reality” regarding the contentious electronic levy (E- levy), which has been in place for nearly two months.

Gabby claims that the government’ s expectations for the existing charge on all electronic transactions (e- levy) have not been met because it has only brought in less than $60 million after over two months of introduction. Gabby Otchere- Darko disclosed in his most recent tweet that, ” How many alternatives does the government have? What option, if chosen, will restore investor confidence in our economy, should be the real question.
