The Office of the President has denied claims made by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, a member of parliament from the North Tongu Constituency, that he used government money to charter a costly jet to Brussels and Kigali. According to Mr. Arhin, who provided the facts, a strike in Belgium’ s aviation industry was about to begin when President Akufo- Addo left Accra on Sunday, June 19.
This information was communicated by Ghana’ s Mission in Brussels. ” Over three hundred (300) flights, including those from Brussels to Kigali, were likely to be canceled as a result of this. ” In support of this, the day President Akufo- Addo arrived in Brussels, personnel at Brussels Airport were forced to join an aviation strike, forcing them to cancel all outbound flights.
The option to take a direct commercial flight from Brussels to Kigali was not accessible because the Presidency had received advance notice of the strike action before the President’ s journey to Brussels.
It explained that the choice to charter a flight for the President was made in order to ensure his timely arrival in Kigali. In other news, Okudzeto Ablakwa, a North Tongu representative for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has criticized Akufo- Addo once more over the national cathedral concerns, claiming that ” The Almighty is Teaching Akufo- Addo Govt a Lesson on the 4th and His 10th Commandments. ”
Everyday, Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa makes new findings regarding things he believes were done improperly during the National Cathedral construction. Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa asserts that the Almighty is unmistakably using the event surrounding the project to instruct the President and his government.
Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has made once again another pronouncememt about how the President, His Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo, conned some revered men of God in Ghana to publicly support the National Cathedral.
