2024 Elections is fast approaching and all politcal parties are readying to present the best candidate. As usual Ghana Freedom Party will be presented by Madam Akua Donkor, the aspiring First Female President of Ghana.

What actually will she bring to the table of full of men? First of all, Madam Akua Donkor has stated that when she’ s voted into office she will introduce a marriage and relationship allowance scheme for all married couples.

In her justification she believes marriage is also another institution and people married should get extra allowances for the effort made. Especially when there are kids, she believes the state has to provide that family with more funds in order to carter for the basic needs of the children.

Other initiatives such as free port, free education, free fertilizer, one media house one car and free contraceptives will be implemented. Unemployed people will be paid stipends each month whiles those who weren’ t educated due to one or two reasons will be given capital to start a business.

Importation of goods will be free In addition, she will change cedis which is our currency to pounds. At the moment, the pounds is one of the most valued and strong currency in the world. With the depreciating nature of our cedi, Madam Akua Donkor stated that the only way out is to also used same currency.

According to her prices of goods and commodities are increasing because the Cedi is weak, changing it to pounds in her opinion will make things cheaper.

Moreover, maternity leave will be extended to one year. Nursing mothers will be allowed to stay home and take care of their babies for one full year whiles they are still paid. Under her administration, they won’t have to return to work few months after delivery.
