The former Minister Of Energy, Mr Boakye Agyarko has stated that in order to improve upon his chances of being the next President of Ghana, he will reject any appointment offer given to him by His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo.
Mr Boakye Agyarko’ s Ministerial appointment as Energy Minister was terminated and sacked in 2018 after he was involved controversies surrounding the review of the Ameri power deal.
Although His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo wished Boakye Agyarko all the best in his future ambition, Mr Boakye Agyarko in his latest interview has revealed that he did nothing wrong to be sacked but it was some NPP members who worked against him.
Speaking to Osei Bonsu of Asempa FM’ s flagship program Ekosisen, the Former Energy Minister said ” My sacking as a Minister was an orchestration. All claims against me were hoaxes.
Those who orchestrated my sacking just wanted me out. I didn’ t do anything wrong. I was hounded out because of my presidential ambition, ” the former Energy Minister stressed.
He further revealed that because of his sacked he’ s no more on good terms with Akufo. Even though he does not hold any grudge against him, he won’ t work under his Government again for how unfair he treated in 2018. ” I don’ t talk to President Akufo- Addo. I’ ve decided to move on. I don’ t begrudge President Akufo- Addo for sacking me as minister.
At the moment, Mr. Boakye Agyarko revealed that he will focus on his Presidential ambition and won’t allow any appointments from His Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo distract him. He will focus and work to achieve his Presidential ambition. “My focus is to be president. I wouldn’t take any appointments from President Akuffo Addo if he calls, ”
