Former Abuakwa North NPP MP, Late J. B Danqauh Adu in February 2016 was stabbed to death in his mansion. Six years down the line, the question who killed J. B Danquah still remains a mystery as several controversial names pop up.
The prime suspect, Daniel Asiedu popularly known as S£xy Dondon who is standing trial before court for allegedly assassinating the MP. He subsequently withdrew these claims and stated that he had gone with the intention of killing the legislator. Before pleading no guilty, the suspect alleged former NDC Central Regional Chairman Mr. Allotey Jacobs gave him the weapons for the operation.
He later asked NDC to forgive him for lying because he claimed the real kill is Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong and some leading members of NPP contracted him to kill the Abuakwa North MP. Hon. Kennedy Agyapong responding to claims that he has a hand in the MP’ s death has revealed that the suspect confessed to IGP Dampare. According to Kennedy Agyapong, the suspect in his confession made mention of Ex President Mahama, he also mentioned NDC MP, Ahmedu Sologo and Wayome.
The Assin Central MP added that he does not understand why these names were mentioned in the suspect’ s confession hence if there is anyone to suspect it should be Former President Mahama and his accomplices.
After the death of the MP, his wife replaced him in by Elections and went ahead to win. Some also alleged that his wife could be the suspect since she was the greatest beneficiary. However, prosecution has told court that she was sleeping in her children’s room when the incident happened.
With names like Kennedy Agyapong, Ex President John Dramani Mahama, Allotey Jacobs, Wayome, Sologo and other politicians coming up, the court will be the last resort to answer the question ” who killed J.B Danquah.
