Ex President Kuffour Picks Who Should Lead NPP As Flagbearer In 2024- Find Out


The former President of Ghana and a leading Member of the New Patriotic Party, Ex President John Agyekum Kuffour during Father’ s Day celebration on Sunday, 19th June, 2022 revealed his love for Vice President Dr Bawumia. Ex President John Agyekum Kuffour praised Bawumia for how far he has come as a common floor member to a Vice President.

To him, Dr Bawumia is more like his own biological son who has learnt from leading politicians and over the years has become more experienced and matured enough to handle the affairs of the state. ” Let me single out one person; he is also a father, but I can claim that he happens to be my son too, and that’ s the Vice- President sitting right by me.

When the planners decided to invite the Vice- President, I learnt he had gone to the North for some duties, and I even doubted whether he would manage to come. But I phoned him, and with his signature giggling, he said ‘ if it’ s JA Kufuor, I’ m coming’ . Former President Kuffour revealed that he started been a father in 1963 and coincidentally that was when Vice President Bawumia was born.

What touches him most is Bawumia is available anytime he’ s called upon. ” That’ s so touching, very touching, but probably that’ s how a son should behave towards a father. Sheer coincidence, but you may not know that I started being a father in 1963, and that happened to be the year the Vice- President was born”.

Vice President Bawumia has launched his bid to be the next President of Ghana prior to the 2024 Elections. Ex President Kuffour somehow trusts in Bawumia and  believes that he would do a good job When given him power in the next election.
