Founder and leader of the Anointed Palace Chapel (APC) and CEO of Sweet TV, Prophet Asanteman Bofuor can be described as a tall, fair- colored, handsome man with an unmistakably well- shaped beard and mustache. Despite his involvement in countless controversies and public feuds with other ” men of God” , Rev. Obofour as he is called still appears to leave a sweet taste in the mouth of most Ghanaians. Watch this video below.
How He Reacted To An Alleged Divorce Recently, the controversial man of God has come under criticism after it was alleged that he has married another wife. The report indicates that Rev. Obofour has bypassed the heavy backside of his wife Ciara and gone for a second wife.
According to controversial vlogger Manasseh who made all these allegations, the Founder and leader of the Anointed Palace Chapel (APC) has traveled outside the country with his second wife for their honeymoon in London.
His known wife Bofowaa on the other side is said to be acting all cool and posting on Tiktok though her marriage with Obofour is in shambles! Reacting to those allegations, the controversial man of God refused to address the pressing issue directly in a video that was trending online.
In that said video, Rev. Obofour made it clear that he won’ t take the advice of poor people. He fumed that his critics should leave him alone to do whatever he wants because none of them can afford to feed and clothe him.
Now, here are five reasons why I think Ghanaians adore Rev. Obofour despite the controversies.
Rev. Obofour is also adored for the level of pragmatism he displays during his Sermons. He includes real-life situations and also chips in bits on how to keep one’s marriage alive- an aspect of his Sermons a lot of people are in love with.
He Is A Realist
He is loved by many because him being a real person. He is on record advising people to seek fame, and money on earth and categorically stated that he doesn’t even know if heavn is real! . When he was questioned about buying a Ford Mustang for his 9-year- old daughter, the man of God replied that why people are okay with “outsiders” enjoying but have a problem when he is also enjoying.
“I should send a text driver to go and pick up my daughter and run away her?” , he quizzes. One thing is that he has shown that men of God are also human beings and can also enjoy the designer wears too.
On many occasions, he has proven his love for big backside and as such does not joke with that of his wife. ,
He Is A Fashionista!
The kind of confidence Rev. Obofour exudes with his appearance during sermons or during other routine duties is quite remarkable and certainly, one which has endeared him to most Ghanaians. He is a lover of cars and even buys some for others, hence his act of gifting cars to people.
One trademark of Rev. Obofour is his kind- heartedness. He is known to have distributed cash and food items to ghe less privileged and needy in society. He dashed out 15 cars which included; a Hyundai Elantra to Efiewura’s Auntie Bee, a Toyota Corolla to a singer in his church, a Toyota Yaris to one of the workers at Sweet TV, a Ford to his wife’s sister, and a Rolls Royce to his during the outdoorinh of one of his son’s.
He Is Entertaining
He is very entertaining and he once Jammed to Shatta Wale’s hit song, ‘Taking Over’ whiles he was preaching. This was quite unorthodox because such song’s are normally classified as ‘worldly’ hence unfit to be played in the house of God.
He is not someone who pretends not to enjoy songs of Shatta Wale in private. Rev. Obofour has also engaged the service of several secular muscians including Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Fameye and many others.
