According to him he should be called a monkey if he donate to the building and infact not even God can convince him to pay anything. ” ” As for me, Prophet Kumchacha, if I contribute to the National Cathedral, call me a monkey. I repeat, if my money goes into building the National Cathedral, I’ m a monkey. ”

Explaining the reason behind his statement to Captain Smart of Onua TV on Thursday, 9th June 2022, Prophet Kumchacha stated that there are more pressing needs in Ghana that should be solved instead of wasting money on National Cathedral whiles Ghanaians suffer. ” This large sum of money that we are going to use to build the National Cathedral, why don’ t we use it to build more hospital units and fill them with beds.

Why are we using it to build a National Cathedral? ” He added that from the Christian point of view it’ s a good initiative for President Akufo Addo who is a Presbyterian to build a house for God. However it is not God’ s will for people to suffer just because of a Cathedral. Christianity in his opinion should come with certain level of wisdom.

Prophet Kumchacha told Captain Smart that the money used for the Cathedral can be used to build hospitals, schools for children learning under trees, provide employment and construct roads that would have been beneficiaries to the entire country. In conclusion God resides in the heart of men and not buildings.
