Work on the Akufo Addo promised National Cathedral according to pictures available to Maaka Maaka News is progressing steadily and fast than the contractor expected as the country awaits it’ s completion.
Pictures taken on Tuesday, 7th June, 2022 in Accra at the construction site of the National Cathedral shows that the foundation of the state of art facility has been laid successfully. Again pillars and iron rods have also been mounted on the foundation as the contractor readies to build the other aspects of the cathedral.
All things being equal, the cathedral will be completed just as scheduled. Just as promised, the Akufo Addo led administration has allegedly released an amount of GH¢25 million Ghana Cedis by government as seed money for the project.
However, the National Democratic Congress MP for North Tongu, Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has described the amount released as misplaced priority and an insult to the Ghanaian populace. He explained that it is very unreasonable, insensitive and unwise for the President to invest such huge sums of money at the time that Ghanaians are suffering.
Aside imposing E- levy on the suffering citizens, Mr Ablakwa cannot understand why taxpayers money should be used to fund Akufo Addo’ s personal promise made to God.
Despite the many varrying explanations given by the government, some Ghanaians still think it’ s a wasted investment. ” Children don’ t have good places to study. Most government hospitals are dirty, no medicine, nurses unpaid. Roads and public amenities not enough etc etc. Ohoooo Ghana.
Waste money to build a temple and go and pray to look for Job. Clap for yourselves. This government don’ t have vision for the nation this cathedral doesn’ t make any sense we need job creation not this”
