“Nothing Is Sacred Anymore”- Burna Boy Reacts To Shooting Incident At Ondo State (Screenshot)


Seasonal Grammy award winning Nigerian singer widely known by his craft name Burna Boy has emotionally reacted to the recent shooting incident in Ondo State, Nigeria. On Sunday, June 5, 2022, a massacre happened at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, where more than 50 people where confirmed death. This massacre happen when an unidentified gunman stormed the church auditorium at Owo and opened fire on the civilians.

Videos and pictures from the incident which went viral a few hours ago captured some of the victims including women and children lying lifelessly in cold blood after the gunmen shot at them sporadically.

According to authorities and witnesses, the unidentified gunmen opened fire on the worshipers both inside and outside the building in a coordinated attack before escaping the scene.

Analyst suggests that these people might come from elsewhere in the West African country. Well, born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, Burna Boy who is considered to be one of the best entertainers in Nigeria has taken to his social media page to pen down an emotional message in reaction to the unfortunate and bloody incident.

The Grammy award winner expressed his condolences to all who have lost their relatives to the recent terrorist attacks in the country. In a tweet on Twitter, Burna Boy wrote ” Nothing is sacred anymore! ? Mothers, fathers, children and babies getting killed My heartfelt condolences to all those who have lost family or friends from terrorists strikes across our country these past few months. Nigeria, which boasts of over 206 million people, has over a decade now has been grapple with insurgency in the Northeast by Islamic extremist rebels of Boko Haram.
