With respect to this, the majority leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu highlighted that, even though there was a communication mixer, it will undoubtedly be a necessity for such matters to be discussed with the finance minister, Ken Ofori Atta and the Controller and accountant general who are known to be responsible for the disbursement of funds. ” I was informed that the speaker had made that statement; my reaction was that, it is not entirely the case and that some amounts have been released to parliament.
We may have to have a meeting with the finance minister and the controller and accountant general so that we have regular releases due to these matters. I consider it unfortunate however, it was born out of a communication mix up.
I did not go out there to contradict the speaker, I spoke to what I knew and I believe that we can move on when we have done discussions on this issue” , the majority leader, Osei Kyei Bonsu emphatically revealed.
