Gospel Singer Sonnie Badu Under Fire For Supporting Flogging Of A Young Lady Publicly


Each religion has its doctrines that govern them, they are laid down laws, rules, and regulations that help to keep members in check, especially in this morally depraved generation.

In some religions, there are consequences for going contrary to any of the laws. This generation always has issues with keeping to the rules and the consequences that come with not adhering to them are something they can’ t take.

About some days ago, an x- rated video of a lady popped up on social media, she boldly let it out to the public that she is into hookups and is readily available for anyone that will need her services.

Of course, Ghanaians on social media platforms descended on the lady for posting such a thing publicly. The video went viral as expected, it met a whole lot of condemnation from people who feel the video is bad, especially if it gets in the hands of underage on social media.

The Girl In The Video Gets Punished Severely In Public.

Just yesterday, another video surfaced online again, this time around, it was the young lady in the x- rated video being tied to a pole.

The crowd was gathered to witness the punishment being meted to her. It turned out the lady is a Muslim, and the video she shared is forbidden in the Islamic religion.

The consequences and punishment is whipping the offender in public. Young men were seem using whips on the lady mercilessly, social media users condemned this form of punishment for a young girl.

According to them, it might lead to depression or worst things.

Ghanaian Gospel Sonnie Badu Supports The Punishment And Get Blasted! 

Sonnie Badu is Ghanaian multiple award winning international Gospel singer. He is also a songwriter, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He started singing at a young age because his father was a pastor back then.

Sonnie was born in the United Kingdom but raised in Ghana. He later went back, he is currently living there with his wife and children. He also ministers all over the world on different stages and with big names in the international gospel music.

The gospel singer follows lots of Ghana based blogs to keep abreast with happenings in his motherland. When he saw the trending video if the girl being whipped, he made a surprising comment which got some reactions. Read the exchange below:

“@floriankwakye: @sonniebaduuk why flog her? You are a man of God. Clearly, she is in breach of the law let the law take it’s course.

She being Muslim doesn’t make her any different or in a different jurisprudence please preach LOVE like Jesus our savior would. Your statement is distateful and may God forgive you.”

Recall That Sonnie Badu Got Into Tattoo Scandal Recently? 

The gospel artiste has always been on the negative side of the news, one of them was when his photo popped up with a tattoo on one of his arms. This got Netizens talking and condemning the act totally saying a man of God has no business drawing a tattoo because the Bible frown on it.

“Leviticus 19:28: You shall not make gashes in your flesh for the dead, or incise any marks on yourselves.”

In response to the criticisms by Ghanaians Online, Sonnie Badu during an interview with Zionfelix, he said all the criticisms do not matter to him at all. He went on to say if his wife and family are not complaining, then other people’s opinions do not matter.

He further stated that when it comes to a relationship with God, the body does not matter because, after death, God is only interested in the soul and not the flesh. He urged people to change their mindset, especially thinking that tattoo is a sin against God.
