The renowned Ghanaian lawyer and private legal practitioner, Justice Abdulai have finally come out to settle the debate concerning the unexpected capture of the Achimota forest reserve in the late NPP member, Sir John’ s will. Speaking in a recent interview on the most alarming issue in TV3 Network, the private legal practitioner, Justice Abdulai revealed that, even though the late NPP member, Sir John captured and distributed portions of the Achimota forest reserve to his family in his will, the incumbent government has the right to take back the already shared portion of the Achimota forest lands; it’ s a property of the country and not an individual hence, Ghanaians shouldn’ t worry about the circulating will of the deceased. ” So, to that extent, if it comes to that the state can always take bank what rightfully belongs to it.
I don’ t think that this will go around but for the fact that this particular has gathered this kind of controversy, I wouldn’ t think that the state would go around attempting to identify whether or not such claims were true because really, once it belongs to the state, whoever willed any portion of new land or property belonging to the state cannot legally take over such portions because it was not right for the person who did their will.
The fact that the person has captured Achimota forest reserve as the party of his will doesn’ t necessarily mean that that portion of the reserve belongs to him” , the private legal practitioner, Lawyer Abdulai emphatically revealed.
