“Wo y3 aboa paa” – Netizens rain insults on Kuami Eugene after he said winning Artiste of the Year does not mean you’re the best

Some social media users have fired hilife musician Kuami Eugene over his comments about winning Artiste of the Year category.

In a recent interview with Ohemaa Woyeje on Angel FM, the 2020 Artiste of the Year winner claimed winning the ultimate award does not mean you’re the best.

“For me to be nominated in artiste of the year for three consecutive years tells a lot that I am doing well and doing something good so I must be grateful for that”.

He concluded that he has a lot of awards but that does not mean he is better than those who do not have.

“Some underground artists are even doing better than mainstream artists, some musicians also have hit songs but still don’t win any awards, so it doesn’t determine who is the best, It’s a few people on a board that determine for every awards scheme“.

Some netizens after reading the headline on Ohemaa Woyeje’s Facebook page started raining insults on Kuami Eugene.

In the comment section Maame Efua Gyanwah wrote, “Wo y3 aboa paaa, when you won di3 you were the best, sia banku.
