The incumbent Bono East Regional NPP Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Baba Bukari who was aspiring for a second term promised over 200 delegates in the Region IPhone each if he wins the Regional Chairmanship The poster portraying ” One Communicator One IPhone” was shared on Facebook on Friday, 27th May, 2022 by Kwame A Plus a defected Member of the New Patriotic Party.
Mr Ibrahim Baba Bukari at the end of the elections was declared winner as he retained his seat with 151 votes as against his competitor Mr Thomas Adu Appiah who managed to ganner only 78 votes.
Some social media users reacted as follows; ” They’ ll eagerly collect the iPhones and vote for him forgetting that it’ s an investment he’ s making. He know when he wins he will get all his money back. . how I wish tomorrow will be a judgment day to end all dis nonsense.
That’ s where their investments begins, the delegates and the ordinary Ghanaian should be wise. You take iPhone now and when they win power don’ t cry for hardship in the country. In other Regions it’ s been reported that other candidates are promising American Visas and other expensive things.
One delegate one FREE America visa also comes from one Ashanti regional NPP chairmanship candidate ooo @ A Plus. This is the beginning of the madness then it rises to the presidential candidates. They are learning from the leader him self Akufu Ado, one million per year kuuuuu.
Even though he’s won the content, the question now is how do the over 200 delegates get their iphones? Will he fulfil his promises or it will be one of those promise and fail situations politician are known for.
All eyes are out watching and anticipating how this promise will unfold.
