The unexpected news concerning the selling of the most popular rainforest, Achimota forest reserve undoubtedly came as a huge surprise to most Ghanaians as individuals boldly questioned the incumbent government over the motive behind such initiative.

However, the incumbent government not long ago came out through the ministry of land and natural resources to clear the air aside stating that, the Achimota forest reserve has not been sold.

Speaking on the most anticipated issue over the Achimota forest reserve on the ” Good Morning Ghana” show, Kwesi Pratt took the opportunity to send another salient message to the Akufo Addo government over why the Achimota forest reserve should not be sold nor destroyed but preserved for the future generations amongst others. ” I think it is a very important thing; we should discuss this now. If we destroyed that forest, it will affect the rainfall pattern and ecology of Accra with a population of 4 million people and we should be careful what we do there” , the renowned broadcast journalist emphatically stated.
