The popularly known Ghanaian politician and member of the ruling government has recently expressed massive concerns regarding the huge taxes imposed on Ghanaian citizens and their adverse effects on the poor living in the country.
Speaking in a recent interview on the ” Good Morning Ghana” show with host, Annie on Metro Television, the renowned politician, Dr. Karibu took the opportunity to reveal that, even though the poor in the country will undoubtedly be affected by the numerous taxes imposed by the Akufo Addo government, the E- levy will undoubtedly make a positive impact in the respective lives of Ghanaians aside making individuals happy because everyone will see their contributions to national development. ”

This country can never devote itself without the people taking responsibility for the development of this particular country.
No country has ever developed without the utmost responsibility of the population. We have a problem and the problem is, that we have revenue challenges that are coming knowledge.
How do we fix the problem; one is by making a judicious collection of the revenue measures we have and cutting down excesses.
We fix the problem by making sure that we have an equitable progressive and all- inclusive taxation system. With the greatest respect, the social protection project this government is doing; most of the social interventions, the beneficiaries of it are the poor and at the same time, the poor are those who are not able to pay tax” , Dr. Karibu emphatically revealed.
