Honorable Kennedy Agyapong, a member of parliament for the New Patriotic Party in Assin Central, has issued a new statement regarding the Achimota forest, which was sold to several members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), notably the late Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, also known as Sir John. According to Kennedy, who spoke on Net 2 television, the forest that was sold to some NPP members must be confiscated because it is strictly illegal.
How can a land commissioner sell the Achimota forest to a bunch of people simply because they have power and can do whatever they want? It is against the law, and the forest has been popular for many years. He also holds his party members responsible for the purchase of the Achimota forest.
They spoke out against former President John Dramani Mahama for being corrupt and selling state properties in the hope that things would improve, but things have gotten worse, and if nothing is done, the National Democratic Congress would come in and start selling government properties. He made it clear that whether they bought it or not, we must return it. It is not their property, but rather belongs to the country.
In other news, The deceased former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, widely known as Sir John, and the former Head of the Forestry Commission’ s will has been disclosed. It goes like this:
I also gift my nephews Michael Owusu, Yaw Boadu, and Kwabena Amoateng my land in the ACHIMOTA Forest, which is owned by Fasoh Limited and measures 0.987 acres.
Charles Owusu but I also have a plot of land in ACHIMOTA Forest. Ruth Korkor Odonkor should inherit my portion of the above mentioned land when I die. Use this link to watch the video
