The popularly known Ghanaian Youth Activist, Nana Kofi Acquah has finally expressed his immense disappointment in the ruling government considering the current state of the country’ s economy amongst others.
Speaking in the most anticipated JoyNews’ ” Joy Change” show, Nana Kofi Acquah highlighted that, the country is sitting on gold but begging for the brass which is quite unfortunate considering how Ghana has been blessed with lots of natural resources but the citizens and government a whole end up misusing such resources.
In addition to this, Nana Kofi Acquah took the opportunity to urge the incumbent government to put the necessary measures in place in other to ensure sustainability and development in the country and not otherwise. ” I want to speak on why as a nation I feel that we are sitting in gold and begging for brass.
Knowing everything we know about Ghana from politics to religion, education, culture, education to health, and state affairs in this country. I want you to imagine where Ghana will be in 20 years considering the tragic tree we are on.
What future will our children inherit? We are selling all our forests, cutting down all the trees, etc Our young people are sports betting their future away or selling their body’ s on social media or looking for a way to get out of this hot country.
The country is hot but if nothing changes now, can you imagine how much worst things will be in 20 years” , Nana Kofi Acquah emphatically stated.
