The members of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) have recently taken it upon themselves to finally call off the long- overdue strike action against the incumbent government over unpaid arrears and neutrality allowances.
Speaking at a recent conference, the spokesperson for the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) revealed that, the finance ministry in collaboration with the controller and accountant general immediately initiate the payment of the agreed arrears and neutrality allowances to its members.

In addition to this, the members of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) are therefore urged to report to work on Monday, May 16, 2022, with immediate effect. ” The national executive council of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has decided to call off the nationwide strike by its members.
The rationale to step down the industrial action was based on the fact that the demand for the ministry of finance to direct the controller and accountant general to effect payment of the agreed arrears has been met on 11th May 2022. By this decision, the strike had been called off.
All Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) members should report bank to work by Monday, 16th May 2022″ , the Executive Secretary for CLOGSAG, Isaac Addo emphatically stated.
