Majority Leader Finally Reveals Who Should Lead NPP In 2024- Details Inside


The Majority Leader, who also appears to be a member of Parliament for Suame Constituency, has stirred yet another uproar after revealing who he believes should be the flag bearer for the New Patriotic Party in the 2024 elections.

Because the current President, Akufo- Addo, is not qualified to run again in the 2024 general elections, the NPP is expected to designate a flag change bearer. Dr. Bawumi and Alan Kyeremanteng are the frontrunners for the job. Kennedy Agyapong has expressed interest in the role as well.

2024 ELECTIONS: Fear Reportedly Grips John Mahama After Kennedy Agyapong Decided To Contest  

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be the ideal person to head the NPP heading into the 2024 elections, according to Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, who spoke on Sompa FM and TV in Kumasi. ” Dr. Bawumia, in my opinion, should be our presidential candidate in 2024. I’ m sure what I’ m saying will cause a lot of debate, but this is my viewpoint, and I’ m not afraid to express it.

I will not be Dr. Bawumia’ s running mate, but I was instructed to elect someone from the Ashanti Region for him, and I am aware that they are working on it. Dr. Bawumia has the requisite experience to manage the nation and improve the situation” , he said.

In other news, The Vice- President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia said that the worst performance of the Ghana cedi occurred in the erstwhile former President John Mahama’ s administration where the average depreciation rate was 18%.

According to him, the “average exchange rate depreciation during 2017-2021, at 7.8% under our government, is more than twice as stable than during the 2013-2016 period.”

Speaking on the state of the economy at the national said in the history of the Fourth Republic, the worst performance for exchange rate depreciation happened from 1993 to 2000 and 2009-2016.
