Today, Wednesday, May 18, 2022, on Good Morning Ghana Kwesi Pratt expressed alarm over the consequences of losing the Achimota Forest.

He stated that he and a group of people have been protesting the government’ s intention to sell off parts of the Achimota Forest since 2013.

He argued that the forest should be protected by the government since it benefits Greater Accra and Ghana. Kwesi stated that he has no reason to suspect that this case is compromised by corruption.

He stated that he believes the administration on this issue and that there is no money or handshakes involved with the Achimota forest. His sole concern, he said, was that the surrounding area and other areas would be sold off, causing the area to lose its value and natural beauty.

In other news, He was perplexed as to why political parties choose one Christian and one Muslim, or one from the south and one from the north, to represent them. He urged politicians to abandon their tactic of appeasing certain groups of Ghanaians.

Those pushing for a Bawumia and Alan ticket, according to Kwesi, should refrain from making such statements since it is both impossible and unproductive for politics. Even if they choose to partner, he indicated who was willing to sink his ego and serve as the others vice.

He added that political parties often have disagreements over flagbearers, which are eventually addressed, and that both should be enabled to run and one winner is chosen rather than calls for a united front, which he believes is unnecessary.
