The popularly known Ghanaian politician and member of the largest opposition party, NDC has recently taken the opportunity to finally set the records straight on the imposition of the controversial Communications service tax in the country.
Speaking in a recent interview on the most anticipated ” Good Morning Ghana” show with host, Annie on Metro Television, the renowned Ghanaian politician and member of the largest opposition party, NDC, Felix Ofosu Kwakye undoubtedly highlighted that, the former President and flag bearer of the NDC, John Mahama never promised to repeal the communications service tax as speculated by the members of the ruling party, NPP.
In addition to this, the NDC’ s Felix Ofosu Kwakye later added that President Akufo Addo should target not be in power if merely criticizing a tax was the bases upon which somebody was rejected.
” President Mahama has never, ever promised anywhere in that he will repeal communications service tax. It is true that he criticized the communications service tax as a member of parliament but that is not out of the ordinary he never promised to abolish the communications service tax; if he did then you can hold him.
If merely criticizing a tax was the bases upon somebody was rejected then what is Akufo Addo doing in power” , the NDC’ s Felix Ofosu Kwakye emphatically revealed.
