The Chief Executive Officer for the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications has finally come out to clear the air aside setting the records straight on refunds involved in the exemptions of the controversial E- levy.
Speaking in a recent interview on JoyNews on the most anticipated issue, the CEO of Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications, Dr. Ken Ashigbey took the privilege to reveal that, considering the current complaints by most Ghanaians over the unexpected exemptions on E- levy, there has been an intensive measure put in place that ensures that, refunds are being done daily and not otherwise unless when unlikely events like off- net transactions.
” I think the refund should have started a day after we went live; refund reversals are something that constantly gets done and so it is not new.
If it is an on- net transaction at the end of the day when they run all the reports of all the charges that have been done and they find some refunds that are not there; some charges that have not gone the way they ought to do, automatically those refunds are done the same day.
The challenges will be the ones that have happened off- net so the person has to request for it and then be able to provide evidence for that account to be credited” , the CEO of Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications, Dr. Ken Ashigbey emphatically revealed.
