New Patriotic Party Delegates at Asante Akyem Central Constituency received the shock of their life when they were welcomed by seven caskets at the polling station when their primaries began.
Silver FM reported that, a group who claims to have placed injunction on the elections threatened that who ever attempt to cast a ballot on the day will be burried in one of the caskets. Upon interviewing them, they explained that the party Constitution is clear in the heirachy of Elections.

In other words, polling station executives ought to be elected before constituency executives not the other way round.
In the case of Asante Akyem Central, polling station executive have not been elected hence the need to stop constituency Elections.
According to the group which bought all the seven caskets, a court injunction was placed on the elections which the electoral Commission and party officials were aware. Regardless they colluded and went ahead of the elections.
The casket group alleged that the Member of Parliament in the Constituency is behind the scene and manipulating things so whoever follows him will be gone too soon. Despite the presence of seven caskets, Silver FM reporter who was at the polling station reported that so far calm has been restored at the Presbyterian Church where the elections are ongoing.
All delegates have queued up to vote without paying attention or been threatened by those caskets.
The presiding Electoral Commission addressing delegates before the electionssaid this is only internal party affairs and they are only there as unbiased referees.
At the time of writing this article, the caskets were said to be there with their owners ready to take action however no Electoral violence or casualty has been recorded as they await for polls to end and winners declared.
