5 Politicians Who Are Likely To Replace Akufo Addo As President In 2024

President Akufo Addo will leave office subject to Article 66 of the 1992 constitution which states that a President will hold office for a term of four years beginning from the date on which he is sworn in as President and shall not be elected to hold office as President of Ghana for more than two terms.

In line with the above constitutional provision, the seat will be up for grabs in 2024 and the following 5 politicians are most likely to take up the mantle.

Ex President John Dramani Mahama

Former President Mahama who is now aspiring as the NDC Presidential candidate is bent on making a comeback after his first tenure ended in defeat.

Among the many vessels in the New Patriotic Party, most people have rooted for Vice President Bawumia to succeed his boss. Already, His Excellency Nana Akufo Addo has promised that he will do everything in his power to make sure he hands over to an NPP President.

Dr Bawumia to some extent agrees there are problems, at the same time they believe NDC is not an alternative.
