John Boadu, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party seeking re- election, has stated that former Tamale Mayor Iddrisu Musah Superior displayed arrogance and pride while in office and is thus unqualified to head NPP in any power again.
According to him, Iddrisu Musah, affectionately known as Musah Superior, the Mayor of Tamale in the Northern Region, was not approachable to the people and acted fraudulently and arrogantly toward anyone who wished to visit him. He was speaking with Nana Yaw Kesse on Peace FM’ s Platform.

The Assin North Constituency of the new Patriotic Party NPP organized a Thanksgiving service following the Supreme Court judgement barring the area’s Member of Parliament, James Gyakye Quayson, from performing Parliamentary obligations.
The Party, directed by Assin North District Chief Executive Charles Ohene Andoh, went to synagogue in Assin Bereku, the Assin North Constituency’s Direct Capital, comprising Pentecost, Methodist, Church and others to thank God for the Supreme Court judging against the Assin North MP

When John Boadu was Tamale Mayor, he urged journalists to visit Tamale and inquire about Musah Superior. Mr. John Boadu further stated that the former Mayor made no financial contributions to the party.
Musah Superior, a candidate for the job of General Secretary, was the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) of the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly during President Nana Akufo- first Addo’ s tenure. He was previously appointed as the Forestry Commission’ s Deputy Chief Executive.
After successfully leading the NPP to power over the NDC in 2016 and assisting the party wins the 2020 general elections, incumbent General Secretary John Boadu is expected to be re- elected at the party’ s next congress. Justin Kodua Frimpong, the Chief Executive of the Youth Enterprise Agency (YEA), and Fredrick Opare- Ansah, a former MP for Suhum, are among the other prospective general secretary candidates.
