Sam George Finally Reveals “Hot” Secret About Akufo- Addo’s Government- Read More

The member of parliament for Ningo- Prampram previously generated a tremendous uproar, discussions, and disputes across all social media outlets as he brazenly exposed another ‘ hot’ information about the Akufo Addo administration about the contentious E- levy.

Even though Ghanaian laws prohibit the ruling administration from contracting a private company to receive the income yet to be yielded by the controversial E- levy, Sam George, a renowned politician and member of the NDC, disclosed on the much- anticipated ” NanaKwame” show with host Dr. Randy Abbey that the Akufo Addo administration has suddenly done the exact opposite.

” If you read the law, they allege that they passed the E- levy law illegally in parliament; under that law, section 62 states that they cannot hire a private business to ensure income or collect it.

They are, however, working with a private company called Express Pay to handle the collection and establish a monitoring platform for the evictions they will be purchasing. They want to pay 40 million dollars for it. I shared this information with them weeks ago, but they have yet to respond. ” They won’ t be able to come out and counter it, ” Sam George stated strongly.

Minority MPs have petitioned the Supreme Court to stop the E- Levy from taking effect on May 1. Haruna Iddrisu, Okudzeto Ablakwa, and Mahama Ayariga seek the Court to half the GRA’s schedules to begin collecting the tax next month.

The MPs claim, among other aspects,that the contentious Electronic Transactions Levy will cause irremediable havoc to million of Ghanaians if it is implemented.

Some Minority legislators have rasped an injunction in the Supreme Court to stop the Electronic Transactions Levy from taking effect on MAY 1. ( E-LEVY).

Noth Tongue MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu and Bawku Central MP Mahama Ayariga all want the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) to be stopped from proceeding.
