The Chief Executive Officer of GIHOC Distilleries, Maxwell Kofi Jumah has stated categorically that there is no Christian on earth who has not taken alcohol before including Jesus Christ himself.
In his opinion, so far as your drink wine or any fermented drink you can be classified as an alcoholic. ” There is nothing in this world called wine which is not alcoholic. Every wine is made from fruit juice that has fermented.

There is nothing in this world called non- alcoholic wine; when a fruit juice ferments we call it wine, so, people should stop lying to, ” So, no Christian can claim he or she does not drink alcohol. He did not say you should drink to booze, but drink to remember him”.

Providing biblical evidences to his points, Mr Maxwell Kofi Jumah quoted Mathew 26. 26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, ” Take and eat; this is my body. ” 27 Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, ” Drink from it, all of you” . He added at even during communion, all churches use wine which is alcoholic in nature.
Meanwhile he has indicated that alcohol prices have been increased in Ghana and anyone who thinks it expensive should stop taking alcohol and drink water.
” We have increased the price of alcohol and we will continue to increase it. If you are not ready to buy then stop drinking alcohol and drink water, ” Jumah said, as quoted by Nhyira FM on its Facebook page.
To Mr. Kofi Jumah some people only abuse alcohol, either than that he doesn’t see the consumption of alcohol as a sin. Unless the person hasn’t drank alcohol before.
