The Easter Regional capital, Koforidua was alive last night as the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Experience Concert train stopped over.
After 9 years since it was held in Koforidua, the nominees jam made a great return in the city and had a warm reception from the people in the area.
The show was opened with artistes in the region which includes Tee Rhyme, Ekow Marvel and a list of stars hosted by King Kwaku Mensa.
It continued with gospel musician Akesse Brempong and was followed by artistes in the Unsung Category to show their talent.
The atmosphere at the Jubilee park changed when they main acts, Fameye, Kelvynboy, Samini, Joyce Blessing, Dopenation, Kofi Kinaata, Medikal, Dope Nation took turns to perform.
Afrobeat badman, Kelvyn Boy, made sure he left a mark yesterday in Koforidua with his massive performance.
The crowd went crazy when his hit song ‘Down Flat’ was played. They sang word to word and even tried to do the dance despite how crowded they were.
Samini proved to the country once again that he holds the forefront when it comes to live band performance.
