Dapo Abiodun Orders Removal of Police DPO over Tanker Fire


Following the unfortunate tanker fire which claimed the lives of two people at the Lafenwa market in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, the state governor, Dapo Abiodun has ordered the removal of the divisional police officer in charge of the Lafenwa police station for compromising behaviour and being ineffective before and during the incident.

The governor, during his on the spot assessment of the extent of damage done by the inferno blamed the DPO partly for the unfortunate incident.

While describing the incident as unfortunate and avoidable he however commiserated with the family of those who lost their lives in the incident just as he promised palliative for traders affected by the fire incident.
