What makes Shea butter ,a disadvantage??
Since centuries , this nutrient have been known for natural growth and moisturizer of hair. It breaks down scalp and straightens for less stress whilst combing. Compared to the skin, it softens , brightens your skin colour , has anti aging properties to make you look younger and smells good.
However, with all of these perfect qualities,it’s disadvantages does more than harm than good though they are less .
Shea butter on the hair leave hair stiff and greasy instead of soft and supple .Its heaviness can also weigh down hair, decreasing flexibility and causing the hair to feel coarse which can ultimately lead to dull, drab hair that’s much more prone to brittleness and breakage.
Shea butter is breaks down scalp and straightens the roots of your hair. However when excess is used, such as applying everyday, it breaks the hair. With such disadvantage, cream products with shea butter are used less. For conditioning it should be last for 10 to 15 minutes on the hair and applied 2 to 3 times a week.
Compared to Coconut oil, shea butter stands the best but minimize your usage.
